my acer aspire E 15 es1-512-c3x9 after installing windows 10 enterprise the touch stop working, and i don't even see the driver of my touch pad even after installing them, and when i try to change the the bios setting from legacy to uefi it say not bot file then i change to legacy and it boot yet touch pad not working how to fix please help .

Been reading here and using win 10 from the outset. On latest build, updated this morning. This Elan touchpad driver keeps coming in through windows update and it just screws up my touchpad more than anything. When it loads up I can no longer use rig. Touchpad stopped working after windows 10 S7-392. Bill2015 Posts: 2 Member. July 2015 edited January 28 in Windows 10. Then download and install the Synaptics (or Elan) driver for Win 10 from the Acer support page and restart. If the trackpad is not immediatley active on the restart, hit Function F7. At least this fixed it for me.

Checking touchpad drivers. Right click on the start icon. Click on “Device Manager” 3. Expand “Mice and other pointing devices” and see if it says Elan or Synaptics. Installing Precision Touchpad. Have you checked if the touchpad is listed under either Mice and Other Pointing Devices or just Other Devices in Device Manager? See if there is a listing for a USB touchpad controller.

Hi, Acer machines often have a key that turns off the touchpad. It is often a function key (Fn) and is often on the F7 key but could be anywhere. The symbol looks like a hand on a square with a small circle and diagonal. Make sure your touchpad is not turned off. The key is pressed once (along with the Fn key) to turn on and again to turn off.

I tried many times to use (fn) with f7 but still not working don't know whether I'm doing it wrong What must I do help me plz.

I use the pointer to access driver manager so it it's not functioning I cannot do that. Acer travelmate b115 touchpad driver. No pointer= no browser, no file explorer, no nothing. It highlights but no action. And no hand on a square w/small circle and diagonal (is it the F8?) And how would I know if the touchpad is on or off? It's an ELAN pointer
